1.     Highest Waterfall in India: Vajrai Waterfall

 

The highest waterfall of India is Bhambavli Vajrai Waterfall. This waterfall drops in three phases from a straight rock at a height of 1840 feet (560 m). The river Urmodi provides the water for the waterfall which is located in Satara district of Maharashtra.

2. India’s Second Highest Waterfall: Kunchikal Waterfall

Kunchikal Falls is a second highest waterfall of India, found near Masthikatte village in Karnataka. It’s about 455 m high and made by the Varahi river. The water flow was to the falls is greatly reduced and is visible during the rainy season (July-September). As the falls are within a restricted area, gate pass is required to visit it.

3. India’s Third Highest Waterfall: Barehipani Falls

Barehipani Falls is the third highest waterfall in India in Odisha, found in Simlipal National Park. It’s on the Budhabalanga River on Meghasuni mountain. The falls are very tall, about 399 meters high, and have two levels. The tallest part is 259 meters high.

4. Nohkalikai Waterfalls

Nohkalikai Falls, India’s fourth highest waterfall at 340 meters (1,115 feet), is found in Meghalaya state, near Sohra (formerly Cherapunji), one of the world’s rainiest places. It gets its water from rain on a nearby plateau and is less strong in the dry season from December to February. Below the falls, there is a unique green plunge pool.

Nohsngithiang Falls, also known as the Seven Sisters Waterfalls or Mawsmai Falls, is a stunning waterfall in Meghalaya, India. It is made up of seven parts and falls from a height of 315 meters during the rainy season, making it one of India’s highest waterfall.

6. Dudhsagar Waterfall

Dudhsagar Waterfall, often referred to as the “Sea of Milk,” is renowned for its breathtaking beauty. It holds the distinction of being the sixth-highest waterfall in India, cascading from a towering height of 1020 feet (310 meters). Located in Goa, Dudhsagar Falls stands as one of the country’s most prominent and captivating natural attractions, alongside the region’s stunning beaches.

7. Kynrem Waterfall

Kynrem Waterfall, a captivating natural wonder in Meghalaya, earns its place among India’s top 10 highest waterfall. This majestic waterfall, boasting a height of 1001 feet (305 meters), is nestled within the scenic. Thangkharang Park, a renowned attraction in Cherrapunjee located in the East Khasi Hills District of Meghalaya.
