Pampadum Shola National Park is located in the Idukki district of Kerala. It lies close to the border of Tamil Nadu, near the town of Kodaikanal in the Dindigul district. The park is part of the Munnar Wildlife Division and is managed by the Kerala Forest Department.
The forest is full of evergreen trees and special mountain plants. Many types of medicinal herbs grow here. But some eucalyptus trees (called grandis) are harmful because they use too much water and grow quickly. These trees can damage the balance of nature in the park.
