India and Chile Set Stage for Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA)
India and Chile signed the Terms of Reference (ToR) to initiate negotiations for a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), aiming to deepen their economic relations across a broad range of sectors. The agreement builds upon their existing Preferential Trade Agreement (PTA) and marks a major step towards comprehensive bilateral trade cooperation.
India and Chile signed the Terms of Reference for CEPA negotiations on May 8, 2025. This announcement follows the Chilean President Gabriel Boric Font’s State visit to India in April 2025, where both nations expressed their commitment to a deeper economic partnership.
