India Finishes Fourth at Pickleball World Cup With 41 Medals

India performed its best ever by grabbing the fourth position at the Pickleball World Cup 2026 held in Da Nang, Vietnam. There were 82 teams taking part in this event and India won 41 medals. The Indian team won seven gold, 17 silver and 17 bronze medals. The team has done much better than its seventh position in the previous World Cup. The Indian team was represented by 48 players who took part in the competition in Kids, Juniors, Open, Seniors and Masters categories.

India Makes Significant Move up World Cup Rankings

The fourth place of India is a much better achievement compared to its seventh place in the previous World Cup.

There were 48 players representing India in the World Cup held in Vietnam. They took part in different categories and managed to win 41 medals. The Indian Pickleball Association has taken this achievement as motivation for promoting the game at the grassroots level.

Medal List,

  • 7 Gold medals
  • 17 Silver medals
  • 17 Bronze medals
  • Total: 41 medals

Indian Pickleball Association Compliments the Performance

CEO of the Indian Pickleball Association (IPA), Aditya Khanna, complimented the whole of the Indian contingent for their performance.

According to Khanna, fourth place is a great achievement and he hopes that the association will strive for a better result at the next edition of the tournament. Moreover, it is important to work on the development of grassroots pickleball in India so that there may be many young players to compete internationally.

This performance is the result of the increasing popularity of pickleball in India and the availability of opportunities to Indian players for competing internationally.

Juniors Team Wins Fourth Place

The Indian juniors’ team won fourth place after losing to hosts Vietnam in the quarters.

The team had Arjun Singh as captain, and consisted of Aditya Singh, Dev Shah, Purvansh Patel, Vivan Patel, Naomi Amalsadiwala, Ashritha Raju and Diya Mattipati.

The young Indian players gave strong fight for a podium finish, but won fourth place.

Open Team Also Out Of Quarters After Losing to USA

The Indian Open team too reached the quarterfinal round before being defeated 2–4 by eventual semifinalists USA.

The team consisted of Harsh Mehta as the captain along with players like Arjun Singh, Anish Frolian, Aman Patel, Naomi Amalsadiwala, Pearl Amalsadiwala, Mihika Yadav and Aaliya Ebrahim.

This was the end of India’s Open campaign on the penultimate day of the event.

Masters and Seniors Teams

The Masters team of India comprised Bhushan Akut, Thakurdas Rohira and Ajeet Bhardwaj.

Seniors team, which was the last Indian team to play in the event, bowed out from the event in Round of 16 against New Zealand.

The Seniors team comprised Suryaveer Singh Bhullar, Atul Edward, Akhil Mathur, Nilesh Desai, Kiran Salian, Gaurika Chopra, Pearline Roopkumar and Kavita Khanna.
