India Post Payments Bank Wins Digital Payments Award 2024–25

India Post Payments Bank (IPPB), a 100% government-owned payments bank under the Department of Posts, has been conferred the prestigious Digital Payments Award 2024–25 by the Department of Financial Services (DFS), Ministry of Finance. This award celebrates IPPB’s exemplary performance in expanding digital financial services and promoting inclusive banking across the country, especially in underserved rural regions.

Why in News?

India Post Payments Bank was recently recognized with the top award in digital payments for FY 2024–25 by the Ministry of Finance. The award ceremony was held in New Delhi and presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary. IPPB stood 1st among all Payments Banks in India in the DFS Performance Index and received a Special Mention for its FY 2023–24 efforts.
