This week Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Khaled, on his official state visit to India. He met the Prime Minister of India Shri. Narendra Modi and held talks on the different points for the betterment of country development and future of both countries.

Relationship between both countries

As India and UAE relationship bonding gets stronger day by day. Whether it is from the perspective of development, energy security, renewables, agriculture and diaspora. The growth trajectory and the trade is also increasing day by day in different sectors.

  • Nearly 3.5 million Indian people live in the UAE, most from any country.
  • They mostly work in the field of construction, oil fields, and technological aspects.
  • The connectivity between both countries is superb, nearly 1500 flights between India and UAE in a single week.

Trade and opportunities

  • Trade numbers between both countries are on the growth trajectory.
  • India and UAE signed a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement in 2022 for the betterment of trade, respective rights and obligations, rapidly changing international environment, technology and customs.
  • As India and UAE will soon touch the 100 billion dollar after CEPA, and also bilateral trade jumped nearly 15% to previous numbers.

  • Recently the inauguration of the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, in Abu Dhabi.
  • India’s UPI systems also launched with Rupay systems in the UAE for the faster payments and for the vision of being made in India.
