Indian Army Conducts Anti-Tank Guided Missile Training Exercise in Sikkim

In a significant training endeavor, the Trishakti Corps of the Indian Army executed a rigorous Anti-Tank Guided Missile (ATGM) exercise in Sikkim, operating at an altitude of 17,000 feet. The exercise involved Missile Firing Detachments from Mechanized and Infantry Units of the Eastern Command, emphasizing live firing scenarios against both moving and static targets, simulating battlefield conditions.

Participation and Scope

Missile Firing Detachments from Mechanized and Infantry Units of the entire Eastern Command actively participated in the training exercise, focusing on comprehensive continuity training and live firing drills.

Demonstrated Capability

The ATGM Detachments showcased their ability to effectively neutralize armored threats with exceptional precision and lethality, crucial for ensuring mission success even in the challenging terrain of treacherous mountains.

Performance in High-Altitude Environments

The exercise reaffirmed the strategic objective of “Ek Missile Ek Tank” while highlighting the accuracy and efficiency of ATGM systems in operating effectively within Super High-Altitude terrain.
