In a pioneering move to blend wildlife tourism with eco-friendly travel, the Uttar Pradesh government has launched India’s first Vistadome Jungle Safari Train, offering a unique panoramic rail journey through the heart of its rich forest landscape. Connecting the Dudhwa Tiger Reserve and Katarniaghat Wildlife Sanctuary, this initiative marks a significant milestone in sustainable tourism and biodiversity awareness. Designed with state-of-the-art Vistadome coaches, the safari train allows passengers to witness the wild from the comfort of transparent roofs and glass windows—turning every ride into an immersive jungle experience.
On May 26, 2025, the Uttar Pradesh Government, in collaboration with Indian Railways, launched India’s first Vistadome jungle safari train, a unique initiative connecting the Dudhwa Tiger Reserve with Katarniaghat Wildlife Sanctuary. This eco-tourism innovation promotes conservation awareness and sustainable tourism while offering travellers an immersive wildlife experience directly from a train.
