Indiramma Family Life Insurance Scheme Announced in Telangana Budget 2026: What is it?
The Telangana State government has unveiled the major welfare push in the Telangana Budget of 2026. Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka presented it in state Assembly. Also announced the launch of the Indiramma Family Life Insurance Scheme and a new cashless health scheme for the people. These are aim to provide financial security to the families and government employees.
One of the main scheme in Budget and which will be launched on June 2 2026.
Key features are like,
Th scheme to protect households from financial difficulty in case of the sudden death of the primary earning member by ensuring the Indiramma.
A major highlight of the scheme is its universal approach. Under this idea it will cover all families without discrimination which are based on income or social category.
This inclusive nature will ensures that poor, middle class and high income families are set to receive equal protection.
The government has strongly emphasized that no family should face financial insecurity due to tragedies.
Alongside the upper scheme new cashless health security scheme also unveiled for government employees and pensioners.
This will be implemented through the Rajiv Aarogyasri Trust.
The scheme will cover the 23.51 lakh beneficiaries which are including employees, pensioners and their dependent family members.
It will also lo provide treatment for 1,998 diseases in all types of hospitals in the state.
The state government has also launched the comprehensive accident insurance plan for government employees and pensioners.
This is set to introduced for the first time in the state.
