Who won IPL 2024?

The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) became the IPL 2024 champions. They won their third IPL title by defeating the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the final match. The final was played on May 26, 2024 at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

KKR’s captain Shreyas Iyer led the team to victory. The star player was Mitchell Starc whose excellent bowling earned him the Man of the Match award. KKR bowled very well and restricted SRH to a low score of 113 runs.

Then during their chase, KKR batted solidly. Venkatesh Iyer played a crucial innings to help KKR comfortably reach the target of 114 and win the IPL 2024 title quite easily. This was KKR’s third IPL championship triumph after previous wins in 2012 and 2014.

Qualifier 1: Kolkata Knight Riders defeated the in-form Sunrisers Hyderabad by eight wickets in Qualifier 1 at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Tuesday to reach the final of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. Kolkata Knight Riders topped the points table, earning 20 points from their 14 matches.

Eliminator: Rajasthan Royals secured a 4-wicket victory over Royal Challengers Bangalore by successfully chasing a target of 173 runs. This win advances RR to the second eliminator against SRH on Friday, marking the end of RCB’s campaign in this IPL season. Key contributions from Riyan Parag (36) and Shimron Hetmyer (26) were instrumental in RR’s successful chase.

Qualifier 2: Sunrisers Hyderabad secured an impressive 36-run victory over Rajasthan Royals in Qualifier 2 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, advancing to their third IPL final. Despite losing the toss and being put in to bat, SRH posted a total of 175/9 in their 20 overs, thanks to a strong batting display. Sunrisers Hyderabad is now set to face Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL 2024 final at the same venue on 26th May, 2024.
