ISSF World Cup 2026: Esha Singh Wins Gold, Manu Bhaker Bags Bronze for India
In the women’s 25m pistol category at the ISSF World Cup 2026 in Hangzhou, China, Esha Singh brought home the gold medal, alongside Manu Bhaker who won the bronze medal in the same competition. Esha’s remarkable performance in the final made her a champion and gave Esha an opportunity to qualify directly for the ISSF World Cup Final 2026 in Rome. As for Manu, she added another international medal to her long list of accomplishments.
Esha Singh, who is just 21 years old, showed an impressive show in her performance and managed to get a gold medal in the women’s 25m pistol final.
On her way to winning the medal, Esha achieved a total of 40 hits, whereas the silver medalist from China, Zhang Yueyue achieved only 37 hits.
Esha’s remarkable performance at the final follows her good performance in the qualifiers, where she ended up at second position.
The Olympian Manu Bhaker proved her consistency by winning the bronze medal in the same category.
In a tense shoot-off, the athlete remained calm to claim victory with 28 hits and earn her medal.
Her success also benefited India’s achievement in ISSF World Cup and indicated the talent of the women’s pistol team of India.
Esha Singh’s victory in the competition has importance beyond earning the gold medal.
According to the rules of ISSF, the medal holders who have won the gold medal in the competition automatically qualify for the ISSF World Cup Final to be held in Rome, Italy in December 2026.
The qualification provides Esha with the opportunity to compete with the best shooters in the year-ending competition.
The success of Esha Singh on the international scene continues to grow. Once again, India’s young shooting sensation lived up to the expectations and achievements of the past.
Her latest gold medal adds to her list of international accomplished by her including four medals in the Hangzhou Asian Games.
