Justice Shree Chandrashekhar Sworn in as Bombay HC Chief

Justice Shree Chandrashekhar was officially sworn in as the Chief Justice of the Bombay High Court. The oath was administered by Maharashtra Governor C.P. Radhakrishnan at a formal ceremony held at Raj Bhavan, Mumbai. This appointment marks a significant transition in the judiciary of one of India’s most prominent High Courts.

Justice Chandrashekhar had previously been serving as Acting Chief Justice following the elevation of Justice Alok Aradhe to the Supreme Court of India.

Justice Shree Chandrashekhar is known for his deep understanding of constitutional and civil law. His elevation comes after years of judicial experience, and his tenure is expected to further strengthen the judicial administration and delivery in one of India’s busiest High Courts.

His leadership follows that of Justice Alok Aradhe, who was appointed to the Supreme Court earlier this year. Justice Chandrashekhar’s prior stint as Acting Chief Justice has provided him with firsthand experience in managing the High Court’s vast caseload and administrative responsibilities.
