Kumar Mangalam Birla appointed Non-Executive Chairman of Vodafone Idea Limited
Kumar Mangalam Birla has been appointed as new Non-Executive Chairman of Vodafone Idea Limited. His new role will comes in effect from May 5, 2026. It will marks the leadership transition when the VI as telecom operator is focusing on to strengthening its business operations. As Ravinder Takkar has stepped down from the position of Non Executive Chairman and he will now erve as the Non-Executive Vice Chairman of the company.
The appointment of the Kumar Mangalam Birla as Chairman signals the renewed strategic focus for the Vodafone Idea.
Birla is India’s one of the prominent industrialists and Chairman of the Aditya Birla Group and he been closely associated with Vodafone Idea since its formation.
