Legendary Filmmaker & the National Film Award winner Basu Chatterjee passed away. He was known for his middle-of-the-road cinema and films like “Chhoti Si Baat” and “Rajnigandha”. He also directed two hit TV serials namely “Byomkesh Bakshi” and “Rajani”.

Basu Chatterjee worked in Hindi as well as Bengali cinema and some of his best known works includes “Khatta Meetha”, “Us Paar”, “Chitchor”, “Baton Baton Mein” and “Piya Ka Ghar”. He received National Film Award for Best Film on Family Welfare for his film Durga in 1992.
