Maharashtra Govt Partners with Microsoft to Launch MahaCrimeOS AI
The Government of Maharashtra has taken a major leap in AI-driven policing by partnering with Microsoft to launch MahaCrimeOS AI, an advanced platform designed to modernise and accelerate cybercrime investigations across the state. The platform was unveiled by Satya Nadella, Microsoft Chairman and CEO, during the Microsoft AI Tour in Mumbai.
Developed by CyberEye, in collaboration with MARVEL (Maharashtra’s Special Purpose Vehicle for AI governance) and the Microsoft India Development Center (IDC), MahaCrimeOS AI represents one of the most ambitious AI transformations in Indian law enforcement.
MahaCrimeOS AI is an AI- and Azure-powered digital investigation platform built to streamline, standardise and speed up cybercrime case management.
Currently deployed in 23 police stations in Nagpur, it has already demonstrated impressive results:

According to Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, the government plans to expand MahaCrimeOS AI to all 1,100 police stations in the state.
