Mastercard, Infosys Partner to Boost Cross-Border Payments

Infosys announced a strategic partnership with Mastercard to enhance global cross-border payment solutions. The collaboration integrates Mastercard Move—a portfolio of money movement capabilities—into Infosys Finacle, part of EdgeVerve Systems. This integration aims to provide financial institutions worldwide with seamless access to faster, more secure, and scalable cross-border transactions, reaching 200+ countries and supporting 150+ currencies.

What is Mastercard Move?

Mastercard Move is Mastercard’s advanced suite of money transfer solutions designed to facilitate secure and near real-time transactions, both domestically and internationally. It supports,

  • Direct disbursers
  • Corporate and retail customers

The portfolio currently covers over 95% of the world’s banked population, reflecting its vast global reach.

Significance of the Infosys Partnership

Integrating Mastercard Move with Infosys Finacle’s composable banking platform reduces the time, cost, and resources usually required for large-scale integration projects. This partnership will,

  • Enable financial institutions to access Mastercard Move’s capabilities quickly
  • Enhance customer experience with faster, more reliable payments
  • Improve risk management, cost control, and liquidity handling for institutions
  • Strengthen digital banking ecosystems by expanding access to real-time cross-border services

Infosys executives highlighted that digital payments are now the primary customer touchpoint for banks, playing a key role in building long-term loyalty.

Global Remittance Context

According to Mastercard, remittances are expanding rapidly, fueled by,

  • Migration flows
  • Digital adoption
  • Economic development

Asia remains the largest remittance recipient region, making India and its neighbors critical beneficiaries of such fintech collaborations.
