Minister Launches MY Bharat Mobile App for Youth Empowerment

Union Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya launched the MY Bharat Mobile Application in New Delhi on 1 October 2025. This move enhances accessibility of the MY Bharat platform—an online youth leadership and social engagement portal—by bringing key services and opportunities to the fingertips of India’s young citizens. The app complements the existing platform, making it easier for youth to participate via phones, especially in remote and rural areas.

Key Features of the MY Bharat Mobile App

  • Mobile-first access: Enables youth to access the portal anytime, anywhere, without relying on desktops or browsers.
  • Multilingual support: Initially in Hindi and English, with plans to add more Indian languages for inclusivity.
  • Opportunities hub: Youth can explore verified volunteering roles, internships, mentorship programs, and experiential learning.
  • Recognition & credentials: Digital badges, certificates, and personal profiles highlight youth achievements.
  • Career tools: AI-assisted resume building, guided career pathways, and skill‑building resources.
  • Campaign engagement: Enables participation in flagship national programs and quizzes (e.g. VBLYD 2026 Quiz).
  • CSC integration: Through CSC integration, youth in rural and remote areas can register, access opportunities, and receive support via VLEs.

Significance & Impacts

  • Bridging the digital divide: The app + CSC integration ensures youth in remote or underserved zones get access to the same opportunities.
  • Scalability & reach: With over 5 lakh VLEs, CSCs provide a widespread physical network to support digital youth engagement.
  • Democratic youth participation: Enables more youth to voice ideas, engage in national campaigns, and contribute to social development.
  • Skill and employment boost: By connecting youth to internships, volunteering, and mentoring, MY Bharat helps bridge the gap between education and employability.
  • Nation-building platform: The app fosters civic engagement, leadership, and social responsibility among the youth.
