Modi Launches ₹7,500 Cr Rojgar Scheme for 75 Lakh Women

Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Mukhyamantri Mahila Rojgar Yojana for Bihar’s women, transferring ₹10,000 each to 75 lakh women via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). The total fund disbursed amounts to ₹7,500 crore, making it one of the largest women-focused DBT initiatives in the country. Addressing the launch via video conference, PM Modi said this scheme will boost women’s self-employment and help achieve the Central Government’s broader goal of creating 3 crore Lakhpati Didis across India.
