MP tops the list of having AYUSH doctors in PHCs in India

In the Latest GoI (Government of India) Report on Health Dynamics of India reveals data that Madhya Pradesh topped overall for having AYUSH doctors (Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, Sowa rigpa and Homeopathy) facility in the Primary health care centers (PHCs) in all over India.

What does the report identify?

  • The report gives a comparative analysis of health infrastructure, technical staffing, and availability of specialist doctors across states. It notes an increase in availability of specialist doctors, including surgeons, gynecologists, pediatricians, pharmacists, lab technicians, nursing staff, and radiographers.
  • This report released by the Ministry of Health and welfare affairs released annually for the health infrastructure in India.

Data of reports

Madhya Pradesh has overall AYUSH doctors facility at 328 primary health care centers in the urban areas of the state and in the tribal pockets state have 228 primary and community health centers.
