NCB Dismantles Pan-India Drug Network by 'Team Kalki'
The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has dismantled a major pan India drug trafficking network called “Team Kalki.” The organization was allegedly distributing narcotic drugs across the country using darknet marketplaces and encrypted messaging platforms. According to officials this network had been active since January 2025. And they managed drug deliveries through parcel services. It was Acting on intelligence gathered over the past three months and the NCB conducted a targeted operation in New Delhi.
This NCB anti drug operation targeted a sophisticated distribution network that used modern digital tools to sell and ship narcotic substances across India.
Investigators monitored the suspicious online activities and traced several shipments linked to the group.
Based on intelligence inputs get they developed during the investigation NCB officials launched a coordinated operation that eventually led to the dismantling of the network.
The crackdown exposed how drug traffickers are increasingly using digital platforms and online marketplaces to conduct illegal narcotics trade while avoiding traditional law enforcement surveillance.
During the operation against the Team Kalki drug racket this authorities intercepted several parcels suspected to contain illegal narcotics.
According to the NCB statement released officials seized 13 domestic parcels linked to the network.
In addition two international parcels originating from the Netherlands were also intercepted and connected to the same drug trafficking operation.
The seizures revealed that the network had developed an organized logistics system to transport narcotic drugs across different parts of the country.
The Team Kalki drug network reportedly used darknet marketplaces to sell narcotic substances online while maintaining anonymity.
Communication between traffickers and buyers was carried out through the encrypted messaging application ‘Session’
Such platforms allow users to communicate securely and avoid detection by traditional surveillance methods.
According to the NCB, the case highlights the growing trend of drug traffickers using digital tools, encrypted apps and anonymous online networks to operate sophisticated distribution systems.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the Team Kalki network had been operating since January 2025.
Authorities suspect that the group dispatched more than 1,000 drug consignments during this period through courier and parcel services.
This suggests that the network had built a large scale distribution chain spanning multiple regions of the country.
The operation is being considered one of the significant crackdowns on darknet-based drug trafficking in India.
