Shrestha’s remarkable achievement has garnered widespread acclaim and recognition from the mountaineering community. Lakpa Mountaineering, the expedition organizer, extended their heartfelt congratulations, stating, “We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the entire 8K team for supporting her throughout the expedition, leading to her successful summit. We wish her a safe descent. Cheers to Ms. Purnima Shrestha for her extraordinary accomplishments!”
The current Everest season has been particularly noteworthy, with early reports suggesting that more than 570 climbers and guides have successfully reached the summit. Additionally, another significant record was set by Kami Rita Sherpa, who achieved the remarkable feat of climbing Everest for the 30th time.
