Nitish Singh of UP Conquered Mount Kinabalu, Climbed It in 19 Hours And Hoisted The Tricolor

International mountaineer Nitish Singh left for Mount Kinabalu, the highest peak in Malaysia, when the rain subsided. He conquered it at 5:30 am on July 9 and hoisted the tricolor there. International mountaineer Nitish Singh, a resident of Gorakhpur, UP, has created a new record by hoisting the tricolor on Kinabalu, the highest peak of Malaysia.

About Nitish Singh

He has become the first Indian to climb the peak at the fastest speed in 19 hours. He has achieved this success in adverse conditions and amidst rain on a rocky mountain. This record of his has added another record to his and the country’s name. International young mountaineer Nitish Kumar Singh, 26 years old, who lives in Rajendra Nagar West New Colony of Gorakhpur, is originally from Gram Sabha Rampur Gopalpur (Gonarpura) of Chargawan Vikaskhand. He has completed his B.Com from Kirori Mal College of Delhi University. Mountaineer Nitish Singh left for Malaysia by air from Delhi on 5th July to climb Mount Kinabalu, 4095 m, the highest peak of Malaysia. He reached Kota Kinabalu city of Malaysia on 6th July. He completed the documentation work on 7th July.

Climbing started on 8th July

After completing the preparations to conquer Malaysia’s highest peak Mount Kinabalu, he started climbing for Mount Kinabalu from the National Park on 8th July at 9.45 am. Thereafter, after continuously climbing, he reached the first camp at 3,100 meters at 2.30 pm. Rain and big rocks were becoming hurdles in the way, but neither the rocks could stand in front of the strong determination nor the rain could dampen the courage. He moved towards his destination from 3100 meters at 2:30 in the night of 9th July.

Conquered the fifth international peak

After the rain subsided, he left for Malaysia’s highest peak Mount Kinabalu. Crossing the difficult and steep hills, he succeeded in hoisting India’s glorious tricolor flag by conquering Malaysia’s highest peak Mount Kinabalu 4,095 m at 5:30 in the morning on 9th July. After climbing Mount Kinabalu, he thanked God by shouting Bharat Mata ki Jai. By conquering Mount Kinabalu, he has also achieved the title of climbing the fifth international peak.

Nitish has also installed the HPCL logo on the high peak of Mount Kinabalu. HPCL’s Executive Director Rajiv Goyal also congratulated and wished Nitish for the successful climb. He gives some message or the other after conquering every mountain. Before this he has given messages on Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, awareness of transgender community. Nitish has been giving some message or the other from every mountain. This time in this campaign, Nitish, in collaboration with HPCL, will plant as many saplings as the number of meters he has climbed of Green Gorakhpur.
