Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated projects worth Rs 118 crore 72 lakh in Madhya Pradesh through video conferencing. These projects are under the Swadesh Darshan 2.0 scheme and the Prasad scheme.
The Prime Minister laid the foundation stone for the “Experience of Spirituality at Chitrakoot Ghat” project in Chitrakoot. He also performed the Bhoomi Pujan for the upgradation and development of Ganga Ghats at a cost of around Rs 26 crore 55 lakh.
The Prime Minister inaugurated various development works worth Rs 50 crore under the Prasad Scheme in Amarkantak. These include the development around the Narmada Temple, and the expansion of tourist and public facilities in Amarkantak.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav was present at the event. He announced the formation of the Chitrakoot Development Authority. He said that the Parikrama Path, Godavari, Bharat Ghat, and other places would be made encroachment-free.
The Chief Minister stated that all places related to Lord Rama and Lord Krishna in Madhya Pradesh would be developed as pilgrimage sites.
These projects aim to promote spiritual tourism and develop infrastructure around important religious sites in Madhya Pradesh. The initiatives are expected to enhance the experience of pilgrims and tourists visiting these places.
