Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to attend the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Action Summit in Paris on February 10-11, 2025. This summit, hosted by French President Emmanuel Macron, aims to foster international dialogue on AI, bringing together global leaders to discuss innovation, regulation, and the future of AI technologies.
The AI Action Summit will convene heads of state and government, leaders of international organizations, CEOs from large and small companies, academia, NGOs, artists, and civil society members. The event will focus on five key themes:

France has described India as a “very important country,” particularly regarding its potential to make a concrete impact on people’s lives through AI. The French Presidency stated, “We have invited India and are working very closely with India in the run-up to the summit. Misinformation and misuse of AI are themes that will be addressed.” This invitation underscores the strengthening AI partnership between France and India, following similar engagements with other nations.
President Macron emphasized the importance of a global conversation on AI, involving countries such as the US, China, India, and Gulf nations, all of which play significant roles in developing and regulating AI technologies. He stated, “This summit will allow for an international conversation on AI… as we want to forge a dialogue with all powers on AI.” The summit aims to position France and Europe at the center of the global AI landscape, focusing on innovation and talent development.
