The Minister of Education, Dharmendra Pradhan, has officially announced the commencement of applications for the seventh edition of Pariksha Pe Charcha. This unique initiative aims to foster student engagement and provide a platform for dialogue on various aspects of education.
To participate in Pariksha Pe Charcha 2024, students must apply through the official website at innovateindia.mygov.in/ppc-2024/. The application window is open until January 12, 2024, providing ample time for students from classes 6 to 12 to register. The process allows for ‘self participation’ by students, as well as a ‘teacher login’ option. Additionally, parents and teachers have their separate login portals, creating a comprehensive engagement platform.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to interact with participants, including parents and teachers, to address topics ranging from board exams to the aspirations of students. Students can submit their questions to the Prime Minister, with a maximum limit of 500 characters. This interactive session serves as a unique opportunity for direct communication between the nation’s leader and the youth, fostering a sense of connection and understanding.
Approximately 2050 students, teachers, and parents selected through competitions on MyGov will receive special Pariksha Pe Charcha Kits from the Ministry of Education. This recognition serves as a token of appreciation for their active participation and contribution to the educational discourse.
In the previous edition held at New Delhi’s Talkatora Stadium on January 27, 2023, over 38 lakh students registered, with more than 16 lakhs from state boards. The significant increase in registrations, as stated by the education minister, highlights the growing popularity and impact of Pariksha Pe Charcha. The event has become a cornerstone in engaging and empowering the youth, bringing together diverse voices from across the country.
Pariksha Pe Charcha is seamlessly integrated into the broader landscape of educational reforms outlined in the National Education Policy, 2020. These reforms encompass a spectrum of initiatives, including curricula enhancements, examination reforms, student-friendly classrooms, art-integrated learning, and toy-based pedagogy, collectively fostering a holistic and joyful learning experience.
