Cabinet Appointments Committee:
The Cabinet Appointments Committee or Appointments Committee of the Cabinet makes appointments to various high-ranking positions in the Indian government. The Prime Minister of India is the Chairman and the Minister of Home Affairs is the member of the committee. Originally, the Minister-in-Charge of the respective Ministry was also a member of the committee, however this is no longer the case.
