Prime Minister Inaugurates IIT Hyderabad Campus

In a historic moment, the Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad (IITH) witnessed the dedication of its transformative Campus Development Project to the nation by the Honorable Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi via Video Conference. The dedication ceremony of the Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad’s (IITH) transformative Campus Development Project witnessed the presence of distinguished leaders, marking a significant milestone in the institution’s journey.

Culmination of Planning and Construction

  • The dedication ceremony included buildings such as the International Guest House, Convention Centre, Technology Incubation Park, Knowledge Centre, Sports and Cultural Complex, Students’ Hostels, and various academic and administrative buildings, collectively valued at Rs 1089 Cr.

Encouragement to Contribute

  • Dr TamilSai Soundararajan urged students to contribute to the Nation. He said “IIT Hyderabad is known for its excellence in technology and innovation with Top #8 Rank in Engineering and Top #3 Rank in Innovation by NIRF 2023. I am sure many such initiatives will make a mark in the journey of Viksit Bharat”.

Commitment to Excellence

  • Dr BVR Mohan Reddy congratulated Team IITH. “The dedication of the IIT Hyderabad campus to the nation is a testament to our commitment to academic excellence and innovation. This facility sets new standards for educational institutions in India and aims to be the Top-100 global institute in the future.”

Indo-Japanese Collaboration

  • Mr SUZUKI Hiroshi said, “The campus development showcases the strength of Indo-Japanese ties. IITH stands as a platform to take the India-Japan partnership to the next level.”

JICA’s Contribution

  • Ms Sachiko Imoto, Senior Vice President, JICA, said, “JICA is proud to be a part of this journey with IIT Hyderabad.
  • The dedication ceremony is a symbol of the successful collaboration between India and Japan in education and technology.
