According to K Yogesh, more than 50 women were considered for this honour, but Prof. Charanda was ultimately selected for her outstanding work in education, social service, and excellent research in the field of political science.
While Prof. Charanda was recognized for her contributions, the committee also selected other women and men for the ‘International Culture Award’, whose names will be announced soon.
