PV Sindhu Elected Chair of BWF Athletes Commission (2026–2029)

India’s badminton icon Pusarla Venkata Sindhu popularly known as PV Sindhu, has achieved another major milestone off the court. The two-time Olympic medallist and former world champion has been elected Chair of the Badminton World Federation (BWF) Athletes Commission for the 2026–2029 term, marking a significant step in her leadership journey within global sports governance.

As Chair of the Athletes’ Commission, PV Sindhu will also become a member of the BWF Council, ensuring that players perspectives are directly represented in the decision-making processes of the sport’s global governing body, the Badminton World Federation.
