Rajasthan Mukhyamantri Ayushman Arogya Yojana (MAAY): Eligibility, Benefits, Coverage and How to Apply

The Mukhyamantri Ayushman Arogya Yojana (MAAY) is the most prominent health insurance initiative of the state of Rajasthan, it avails cashless treatment worth ₹25 lakh to families for a year. This program is called Mukhyamantri Chiranjeevi Swasthya Bima Yojana in the past. It makes sure that people get affordable healthcare services and protection against costly treatments.

The MAAY programme covers eligible families for hospital, surgery, critical sickness and accident insurance through accredited hospitals in Rajasthan.

About Mukhyamantri Ayushman Arogya Yojana (MAAY)

The Mukhyamantri Ayushman Arogya Yojana (MAAY) is Rajasthan’s health insurance scheme introduced by the government to take care of the problems faced in dealing with medical-related payments.

This scheme provides the,

  • Cashless health insurance coverage of ₹25 lakh every year for families,
  • Accident insurance coverage of ₹10 lakh,
  • Coverage of more than 1,700 medical and surgical packages,
  • Treatment at government and private hospitals empanelled under the scheme.

Families falling under the paid category would pay ₹850 a year and the state government would bear the balance of the insurance premium.

The beneficiaries of this scheme get pre-hospitalization medical expenses, which covers the medications and diagnostics during the five days before hospitalization as well as post-hospitalization medical expenses for 15 days, including medicines and medical follow-up consultations.

Family Coverage

  • All the family members listed in the Jan Aadhaar card have health insurance coverage.
  • There is no cap on the age.
  • Every newborn child will also be covered by the scheme.

Accident Insurance Benefits

Accident insurance is also provided to households involved in this scheme.

Eligibility Criteria

The applicants must be the permanent residents of the Rajasthan.

Category 1: No charges for registration (by Government subsidy 100%)

Families entitled to free registration includes the,

  • Beneficiaries of National Food Security Act (NFSA)
  • Families under SECC 2011
  • Small and marginal farmers
  • Contract employees of state departments, boards, and corporations
  • Poor families who receive state government assistance in the form of cash payments to help them survive COVID-19 pandemic

Category 2: paid registration

  • Households which do not qualify for the free registration can apply for the best possible insurance plan at the minimum charge of ₹850 per family for the whole year.
  • The Rajasthan government pays the rest of the premium.

Required Documents

The applicants must have to collect the following documents such as,

  • Jan Aadhaar Card/Jan Aadhaar Registration Receipt
  • Aadhaar Card of all family members
  • Mobile number linked with Aadhaar
  • Proof of residence in Rajasthan
  • Land documents (for eligible farmers)
  • ID for Contractual employment (if applicable)

How to Apply Online

Applicants can register on the Rajasthan SSO portal.

  • Step-by-step Process
  • Go to the official Rajasthan SSO Portal.
  • Log-in with SSO ID or create a new account.
  • Choose MAA-YOJANA service.
  • Put your Jan Aadhaar Number.
  • Finish Aadhaar e-KYC verification.
  • Select Free/Paid option.
  • Submit the application.
  • Download and save the policy document.

Offline Registration via e-Mitra

Interested applicants can also get themselves registered at the nearest e-Mitra Centre.

Procedure

  • Go to the nearest e-Mitra Centre.
  • Provide Jan Aadhaar and Aadhaar data.
  • Carry out biometric or OTP verification.
  • Pay ₹850 in case of application for paid category.
  • Collect the policy document after registration.
