Real Madrid Legend Marcelo Hangs Up His Boots
Brazilian footballer Marcelo, one of the most decorated left-backs in history, has announced his retirement at the age of 36. The former Real Madrid and Brazil defender enjoyed a glittering career, winning 25 major trophies in 15 years at Madrid, including five UEFA Champions League titles. Marcelo, who also played for Fluminense and Olympiacos, expressed gratitude for his journey in a heartfelt message. Real Madrid president Florentino Perez hailed him as one of the greatest left-backs in football history. Though his playing career ends, Marcelo hinted at staying involved in football in the future.
