The event will host semiconductor firms, policymakers, investors, researchers, startups, academia and workforce development organizations. Discussions on manufacturing, technology, supply chains, innovation, investment and skills will take place through the event.
SEMICON India 2026 is set to be held from September 17 to 19, 2026, at Yashobhoomi (India International Convention and Expo Centre) in Dwarka, New Delhi.
The fifth edition of the event is expected to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 17. The CEO roundtable with global semiconductor leaders is scheduled on September 16.
The theme of SEMICON India 2026 is, “From Silicon to Systems: Developing the Ecosystem”
The theme represents India’s effort towards the development of an ecosystem for the semiconductor industry, involving design, manufacturing, packaging, equipment, materials, R&D, logistics, electronic systems, and manpower.
There will be a “Sand to Silicon to Systems” value chain experience that represents the various stages of the semiconductor ecosystem.
This edition of the exhibition represents a significant expansion of the event, with over 500 exhibiting companies from over 20 countries.
Some of the major attractions at the event are,
The exhibition will cover manufacturing, AI and digital transformation, supply chains, chemicals and materials, policy, sustainability, product design, startups, talent, and strategic leadership.
SEMICON India 2026 will be organized at a very critical juncture in the semiconductor journey of India. The country is shifting from the formulation of policies and approvals of projects to commercial manufacturing and development of the ecosystem.
Under Semicon 1.0, there have been 12 semiconductor projects with an investment of more than ₹1.64 lakh crore in various states.
Moreover, Semicon 2.0 has been approved by the Union Cabinet, with an outlay of ₹1,27,500 crore for chip design, manufacture, packaging, equipment, material, research, and human capital development.
Thus, SEMICON India 2026 can prove beneficial for India in order to,
SEMICON India 2026 is anticipated to witness participation from more than 40 countries, with more than 240 international organizations and delegates.
Some of the major organizations associated with the event include ASML, Applied Materials, Teradyne, Infineon, Jabil, IBM Research, NXP, Tata Electronics, Micron, Lam Research, CG Power, Advantest, Tokyo Electron among others.
The participation of international delegates will help boost cooperation in terms of manufacturing, technology, equipment, materials and supply chain management.
The 2025 edition took place on September 2–4, 2025 at Yashobhoomi in New Delhi with the theme “Building the Next Semiconductor Powerhouse.”
The 2024 edition was organized from September 11–13 in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh with the theme “Shaping the Semiconductor Future.”
The 2026 edition is yet another step in the expansion of this platform as India tries to position itself as a reliable partner for semiconductors across the globe.
