Shiksha Saptah 2024: Celebrating 4 Years of NEP 2020

The Department of School Education and Literacy is observing Shiksha Saptah from July 22 to July 28, 2024, to celebrate the fourth anniversary of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. This week-long event focuses on promoting collaboration and highlighting the educational reforms introduced by NEP 2020.

Purpose: To promote collaboration and showcase the impact of NEP 2020 reforms
Participants: Teachers, students, and educational stakeholders

Daily Themes and Activities

Day 1 – Monday, July 22, 2024: Teaching-Learning Material (TLM) Day
Teachers will showcase and use Teaching-Learning Materials based on local contexts in classroom transactions.

Day 2 – Tuesday, July 23, 2024: Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) Day
Awareness activities will be organized to support the successful implementation of the NIPUN/FLN Mission.

Day 3 – Wednesday, July 24, 2024: Sports Day
Competitions will be held in collaboration with the Department of Sports, Youth Affairs, NSS, and community members.

Day 4 – Thursday, July 25, 2024: Cultural Day
Events will be organized to foster a sense of unity and diversity among students.

Day 5 – Friday, July 26, 2024: Skilling and Digital Initiatives Day
Focus on understanding the evolving job market, new skill requirements, and digital initiatives to enhance classroom experiences.

Day 6 – Saturday, July 27, 2024: Eco Clubs and School Nutrition Day
Establishment of new Eco Clubs and a plantation drive under the #Plant4Mother initiative will be organized.

Day 7 – Sunday, July 28, 2024: Community Involvement Day
Activities include Tithi Bhojan and Vidyanjali to enhance collaboration with local communities and support socio-emotional well-being.

  • Host exhibitions with TLM materials, musical and literary displays.
  • Prepare grade-wise activities as per state guidelines.
  • Compile and submit event data to the District Deputy Director.
