SJVN Releases ₹269.97 Cr Land Compensation for 3,097 MW Etalin Hydro Power Project in Arunachal Pradesh
In a key development aimed at boosting hydropower capacity in the Northeast, SJVN Ltd, a public sector undertaking, has released ₹269.97 crore as land compensation for the 3,097 MW Etalin Hydro Electric Project in Dibang Valley, Arunachal Pradesh. This significant payment was made on March 26, 2025, into a joint account held by the Deputy Commissioner (DC) and the District Land Revenue and Settlement Officer (DLRSO) of Dibang Valley. The initiative marks a major milestone in the implementation of India’s renewable energy roadmap and infrastructural development in the northeastern region.
