It borders Navsari district to the north, Nashik district in Maharashtra to the east, and Dadra and Nagar Haveli district of the Daman and Diu (DNHDD) union territory, along with Palghar district in Maharashtra, to the south. The Arabian Sea lies to its west, and Vapi serves as its largest city while Valsad acts as the administrative capital.
