Suryabala: A Legacy of Socially Themed Literature

Born in Varanasi in 1943, Suryabala holds an MA and PhD in Hindi literature from Kashi Vishwavidyalaya. Known for centering social issues, her works reflect deep cultural insights.

Themes Explored in “Kaun Des Ko Vasi: Venu Ki Diary”

The novel critically examines the Indian youth’s fascination with America as a land of opportunity, shedding light on cultural dilemmas, ideological conflicts, and the alienation experienced abroad.
