Online food delivery platform Swiggy has partnered with SHIELD, a device-first risk AI platform, to bolster its fraud prevention and detection capabilities. This strategic move aims to address promo abuse and deter fraudulent practices within Swiggy’s Delivery Partner ecosystem.
By leveraging SHIELD’s Device Intelligence technology, Swiggy will be better equipped to reduce the exploitation of platform discounts, sign-up incentives, referral bonuses, and limited-time deals. This proactive approach will enable Swiggy to focus its resources on genuine users and effectively manage potential abuse on the platform.
Dolly Sureka, Vice President – Assurance & Business Advisory and Lead for Trust and Safety at Swiggy, emphasized the company’s commitment to elevating the quality of life for urban consumers through unparalleled convenience. She stated, “Our partnership with SHIELD has enhanced Swiggy’s Fraud Prevention and Detection mechanisms through device-first risk intelligence. This has empowered us to focus our resources on genuine users and proactively manage potential abuse on the platform.”
In a separate initiative, Swiggy Dineout announced an exclusive 50% discount on dining offers on May 20 to encourage voters to cast their vote in the fifth phase of the Lok Sabha Polls 2024. This move aimed to incentivize civic engagement and promote democratic participation.
On May 17, Swiggy’s quick commerce delivery platform Instamart partnered with Earth Fokus, a company offering water-saving solutions, to deliver water aerators to consumers in Bengaluru within 10 minutes. This collaboration highlights Swiggy’s commitment to sustainable practices and environmental consciousness.

By leveraging cutting-edge technologies and forging strategic alliances, the company aims to enhance its service offerings, maintain trust and safety, and contribute to societal and environmental causes.
