UAE Introduces Blue Visa 10-Year Residency for Foreigners
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has introduced the first phase of the Blue Visa system, a 10-year residency permit focused on individuals contributing to environmental sustainability. Announced during the World Governments Summit 2025 in Dubai (February 11-13), the initiative was launched by the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment (MoCCAE) in partnership with the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Ports Security (ICP). The Blue Visa expands the UAE’s existing long-term residency options, such as the Golden Visa and Green Visa, and reflects the country’s commitment to sustainability and climate action.
