The state’s concerted efforts to develop religious sites like the Dakshineshwar and Kalighat temples are transforming it into a hub for pilgrims and heritage tourists. Additionally, the under-construction Jagannath temple at Digha is expected to attract even more devotees upon completion.

With the opening of over 2,400 homestays, particularly in North Bengal, the state has significantly expanded its tourism infrastructure.
