Union Minister Launches LDB 2.0 to Strengthen India’s Digital Trade
Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Shri Piyush Goyal launched the Logistics Data Bank (LDB) 2.0 in New Delhi. The launch coincided with the decade-long celebrations of Make in India and marks a major step in India’s journey toward becoming a digitally empowered, globally competitive economy. The upgraded logistics platform promises real-time data tracking, multi-modal visibility, and high-seas container monitoring, all of which will significantly improve supply chain efficiency and export competitiveness, particularly benefiting MSMEs and exporters.
Developed by NICDC Logistics Data Services (NLDSL), LDB 2.0 is an upgraded version of India’s logistics tracking system. It builds on earlier digital initiatives but introduces major enhancements,

Aligned with the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047, the platform strengthens the digital backbone of logistics. This ensures India is prepared for the next wave of industrial growth, contributing to Atmanirbhar Bharat (self-reliant India).
During the launch, Shri Piyush Goyal emphasized that LDB 2.0 is not just a technological upgrade but a strategic reform. By combining data, transparency, and digital infrastructure, India can move closer to its goal of becoming an export powerhouse.
