Union Minister Launches SHe-Box Portal to Enhance Workplace Safety for Women
The Union Minister of Women and Child Development, Annapurna Devi, launched the new SHe-Box portal, a centralized platform aimed at making workplaces safer for women by addressing complaints of sexual harassment. The launch event, held in New Delhi, also included the introduction of a revamped ministry website.
The SHe-Box portal serves as a centralized repository of information related to Internal Committees (ICs) and Local Committees (LCs) across the country, covering both government and private sectors. It allows women to file complaints, track their status, and ensures timely processing by ICs, with real-time monitoring facilitated by a designated nodal officer.
Annapurna Devi emphasized the importance of the portal in creating a secure and inclusive work environment for women, aligning with the government’s vision of “Viksit Bharat” by 2047. This initiative represents a critical step in the government’s ongoing efforts to protect women in the workplace and promote women-led development.
In addition to the SHe-Box portal, the Ministry also unveiled a newly developed website designed to enhance the government’s digital engagement with national and global audiences. Both the portal and the website can be accessed at SHe-Box Portal and Ministry Website.
