Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports Anurag Singh Thakur handed over the Chess Olympiad Torch to Budapest, Hungary, the host city for the 45th edition of the Chess Olympiad. The first Chess Olympiad Torch Relay was inaugurated by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi Stadium on 19th June 2022, marking a historic moment in the annals of chess.
