The UP ODOP One District One Product (ODOP) Scheme 2026, is state’s one of the flagship initiatives which is aimed at to promoting the state’s traditional industries, artisans, and local entrepreneurs. By identifying the onq unique product from each of Uttar Pradesh’s 75 districts, this scheme seeks to preserve the traditional crafts along with creating employment, boosting exports, and strengthening the local economies.
Under this scheme, eligible beneficiaries can avail the loans of up to ₹25 lakh at the concessional interest rates, and also to receive a 25% margin money subsidy, and access skill development, marketing support, and business assistance.
The One District One Product (ODOP) Scheme was launched by the Government of Uttar Pradesh in the year 2018 to encourage the district-specific traditional industries and handicrafts.
Every district in the state of Uttar Pradesh has been assigned with a unique product based on the its historical, cultural, and economic significance.
These include globally recognized products such as Varanasi Silk Sarees, Lucknow Chikankari, Moradabad Brassware, Agra Leather Products, Firozabad Glassware, Bhadohi Carpets, and Kannauj Perfume.
This initiative focuses on to helping the artisans and entrepreneurs to improve production quality, access affordable finance, adopt modern technology, and expand into domestic as well as in the international markets.
This scheme has been designed with the multiple long-term objectives to strengthen Uttar Pradesh’s traditional industries and improve rural livelihoods.
