Uttar Pradesh Leads In Issuing 5 Crore Ayushman Cards Under Ayushman Bharat PMJAY
Uttar Pradesh, under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, has achieved a milestone by becoming the first state in the country to issue five crore Ayushman cards. This accomplishment underscores the state government’s commitment to ensuring the health and well-being of every citizen.
The state of Uttar Pradesh has issued 50,017,920 Ayushman cards, benefiting 74,382,304 individuals. This achievement is further highlighted by the fact that 3,716 hospitals in the state are empaneled under the Ayushman Bharat Scheme. Moreover, a total of 3,481,252 health claims have been filed, with a settlement rate of 92.48 percent.
In Ayodhya, the city of Lord Shri Ram, 837,700 Ayushman cards have been issued to beneficiaries. This demonstrates the reach and impact of the Ayushman Bharat Scheme in both urban and rural areas. With 19 private hospitals and 16 government hospitals in the district providing the benefits of this scheme, residents of Ayodhya have enhanced access to healthcare services.
Panchayat assistants, Kotedars, and Asha workers play a crucial role in facilitating the creation of Ayushman cards for residents through door-to-door visits. Additionally, eligible beneficiaries can obtain their cards at the Gram Panchayat Bhawan within their villages. These community-driven efforts have contributed to the success of the Ayushman Bharat Scheme in Uttar Pradesh.
CM Yogi Adityanath congratulated the people of Uttar Pradesh on achieving this milestone. He expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for his guidance and support in realizing the vision of ‘Suraksha Kavach’ through the Ayushman Card. CM Yogi reiterated his commitment to ensuring the complete reach of welfare schemes to all eligible individuals in the state, reaffirming the government’s priority to provide healthcare access to every citizen of the ‘New Uttar Pradesh.’
