Visa Appoints Suresh Sethi as Group Country Manager for India and South Asia

The Global payment giant the Visa Inc. has appointed the Suresh Sethi as its the new Group Country Manager for the India and South Asia. This announcement will marks the leadership change which is aimed at to accelerating the digital payments and financial innovation in the region. He is based in Mumbai and the Sethi will oversee the operations across the multiple countries and it will bring his experience in the digital public infrastructure and the fintech transformation.

Suresh Sethi Takes Charge of India & South Asia Operations

Visa have confirmed that Mr. Suresh Sethi will lead the its strategy and operations across the wide regional network.

His responsibilities includes the managing operations in the countries like,

  • India
  • Bangladesh
  • Sri Lanka
  • Nepal
  • Maldives
  • Bhutan

He will be based in the Mumbai and it will report to the Stephen Karpin and the Regional President for Asia Pacific at Visa.

Suresh Sethi will succeeds the Sandeep Ghosh who is stepping down to the explore new opportunities.

This leadership transition comes at that time when the digital payments are expanding rapidly across the South Asia and will making the role crucial for the Visa’s regional strategy.

Suresh Sethi’s Background and Experience

Before joining the Visa Sethi will served as the MD and CEO of Protean e-Gov Technologies Ltd.

At Protean he have played the key role in to transforming the organization into the Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) leader.

It will also driving technology-led governance solutions and also building the scalable digital platforms.

His experience will aligns well with the Visa’s focus on to the digital innovation and financial inclusion.
