Kishtwar district, created in 2007 from Doda district, is a beautiful and mountainous area in Jammu and Kashmir. It is known for its natural beauty and rich culture and is often called the ”Land of Saffron.” The district has high altitudes ranging from 3,000 to 15,000 feet above sea level. The Chenab River flows through it. Kishtwar borders Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Anantnag, Doda and Ramban covers a large area of 7,737 square kilometers.
