The theme for World Cerebral Palsy Day 2024, “#UniquelyCP,” celebrates the diversity and individuality within the cerebral palsy community. It emphasizes that each person with CP is unique, with their own interests, passions, and strengths. The theme challenges societal stereotypes and promotes the understanding that a person’s disability does not define their entire identity.
The Government of India, under the leadership of the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPwD), is actively involved in marking World Cerebral Palsy Day. National institutes and regional centers under the DEPwD will host various programs to spread awareness about CP and empower individuals affected by it.
