“Kidney Health for Everyone – Preparing for the Unexpected, Supporting the Vulnerable” is the theme for World Kidney Day 2023. The World Kidney Day 2023 campaign will focus on raising awareness about disastrous events, natural or man-made, international or local, and their impact on people living with kidney disease whose access to appropriate diagnostic services, treatment, and care is hindered.
People all throughout the world are concerned about kidney disease as a severe public health issue. World Kidney Day claims millions of lives each year and brings attention to the impact renal disease has on the world. In order to avoid repercussions like kidney failure, which can be fatal, it also tries to encourage the early detection and treatment of renal sickness.
This day is dedicated to a number of events, including health screenings, educational programmes, and fundraising activities. In order to improve kidney health and prevent renal illness, it gives healthcare professionals, patient organisations, and individuals the chance to collaborate.
The International Society of Nephrology (ISN) and the International Federation of Kidney Foundations – World Kidney Alliance (IFKF-WKA) collaborated to address the health problem associated with kidneys globally. Each year since 2006, the day promotes excellent kidney health for everybody.
