In 2024, Sri Lanka secured their first Women’s Asia Cup title win, beating India with a clinical run-chase in front of home fans. Team India has been the most successful in the Asia Cup, winning the tournament a record seven times out of the fifteen editions held so far. However, the remaining three countries, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and Hong Kong, have yet to secure a victory in the Asia Cup.
