IIT Delhi and Prasar Bharati will host the two-day Robot Competition ‘DD-Robocon’ India 2024 from July 13, at Thyagaraj Stadium in Delhi. The event will host more than 750 students from over 45 colleges, institutions, and universities in the country.
During the competition, robots will face off each other to execute complex tasks within precise windows of time. The winning team from DD-Robocon will represent India at the international Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union Robocon 2024, which will take place in QuangNinh, Vietnam.
IIT-Delhi said in a release that DD-Robocon India is aimed to promote technical skill development, innovation, and teamwork among engineering students by providing visibility and recognition in the field of robotics. It added that the competition is an esteemed platform for showcasing and advancing the students’ engineering and robotics capabilities.
IIT-Delhi Professor S K Saha expressed the institute’s gratitude to Prasar Bharati for letting IIT Delhi and its knowledge partners to conduct the prestigious competition and help select the winning team to represent India in the ABU-Robocon in Vietnam.
